Included in this GameMaker project package are all the image, sound and code resources you need to make your own PaddleBall game! You can choose to start with the blank game file pre-loaded with image assets and objects without code or you can choose to start with the finished game file and figure things out by looking at what each object does and how they interact.
You’ll Learn To:
Create a game where two players can compete against each other to keep the other from scoring points.
Use a game control object to reset the objects on screen and keep track of points.
Initialize and track score variables and create a special object to draw the scores on screen.
Program the game to restart once one player has scored three points.
Finish a full game loop that allows players to keep playing indefinitely.
Look at GameMaker’s built in language and begin transitioning from drag-and-drop to code if you have not done so already.
Practice creating your own interactive digital media projects with our series of 2D game packages! These packages are great for students in the 10-18 age range and students who excel in math, science and logical thinking. Our projects are also great for artists who want to learn the basics of a game engine so that they can easily animate their art or include it in interactive scenes.
All you need to get started using these GameMaker Studio 2 source files is the free version of GameMaker Studio 2 available from yoyogames.com!
